The St. Croix Fishing Machine is a vintage portable telescopic rod and enclosed reel combo released by the St. Croix Corporation around 1976, designed similarly to competitors like the popular Ronco Pocket Fisherman.
Design and FeaturesTelescopic Rod: Extends out to roughly 59 inches (nearly 5 feet) and collapses down compactly into its integrated housing/handle assembly.Built-in Rangefinder: Features a unique mechanical rangefinder pin mechanism on the front face of the reel housing. When flipped forward after an accurate cast, it limits line release so subsequent casts match the same distance.
